Voting while living abroad

My blogs try to counter the misinformation that I see spreading around Facebook groups about Costa Rica as well as the internet, in general.

This is one of the big reasons I wrote my book, Moving to Costa Rica Simplified (grab your copy here).

I come from a generation where politics, religion, and sex were considered off-limits in casual conversation. But the online world has certainly shifted that perspective for many, hasn’t it?

Personally, I tend to avoid discussing politics and religion because I believe they are deeply personal choices. Of course, there are exceptions, and when approached with respect, I believe these can be important and beneficial conversations to have. Sex, on the other hand… if you’ve read any of my other books (check them out here), you know I don’t shy away from that topic! 😂

All that said, supporting expats sometimes means sharing insights and information that touch on both politics and religion. If you’ve read my latest book, you’ll know one of my guiding principles is: Less judgment. More compassion.

If you’re a U.S. citizen, you have the freedom to vote this November 5th. If you’re wondering how you can stay connected to important decisions while living in Costa Rica, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!

And if you’re from another country, I’m sure we can figure out together what steps you need to take to make sure your vote is counted.

PS. If you want to see my mishaps of attempting to vote, you can watch a short (under a minute) video here.
