I tend to resist labeling people... but since moving to Costa Rica in 2012, I’ve seen myself in each of these expat identities - the Under the Radar, Respectful Resident, Entrepreneur… and yes, even briefly, the Bubble Builder.

That last one was recent, and it wasn’t intentional. I didn’t realize I had landed in a community where the norms didn’t align with my values. But once I saw it, I got out – fast! Because walking my talk matters. (𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯)
